Re: M_Boats: I need to know the value of a M-17.
I found an M-17 in a storage yard with an out-of-state owner. I'm trying to locate the owner. It is an older model with the cutout in the transom and full length black track on each side. Is this one of those with steel punchings?
all M17's with the outboard motor cutout in the transom have steel punchings for ballast in the skeg keel, and a cast iron centerboard. dave scobie M17 #375 - SWEET PEA visit SWEET PEA's www-site - http://www.m17-375.webs.com --- On Wed, 4/7/10, kdocter <kdocter@bellsouth.net> wrote: I found an M-17 in a storage yard with an out-of-state owner. How much "stuff" is with it? I bought my 1975 M-17 # 55 for 4500. It had quite a bit of stuff. Extra jibs, roller furling, anchors 5 hp outboard etc. It needs to be repainted but other than that It is a great boat with no problems. The trailer needs some refurbishing but still works great.
