I own an '84 Montgomery Marine Montgomery 17', a boat Bob didn't build (I don't know when Nor'Sea acquired the M17 molds: I think the answer is on www.norseayachts.com). Nevertheless, I have talked to Bob repeatedly via phone and email and he has been exceptionally patient, responsive and helpful. If Bob is so responsive to me, who has never been a Nor'Sea customer, much less a Nor'Sea 27'/37' customer, I am convinced he is genuine. I only scanned the disgruntled customer's web-page briefly, but he alludes to "seven other" unhappy parties besides himself and I'm sure that if you were able to poll all NS27/37 customers, you'd find the majority are as supportive of Bob as the Montgomery owners on this mailing list. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Conbert H Benneck" <chbenneck@juno.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 29, 2002 12:50 PM Subject: Robert Eeg's Kyle, I don't know where you picked up your story, but all I can say is that I ordered a new tiller from Bob Eeg, who mailed it out to me with the bill enclosed. I paid him when I received the new tiller. Since then, I have found Bob most helpful to all M-ers. He is always ready to answer a question; make a suggestion; or in my latest case when I bent my mast; he immediately e-mailed me and told me the mast section to order from Dwyer Mast, which is the one he is using for new M15s. As far as I'm concerned he's a good (though distant) friend; and I have a high regard for Bob and his products. Connie M15 #400
