Re: M_Boats: More... Two more cents worth
Hi Craig, Into my second Martinis, I dream of organizing a race for the Cigarette boat crowd. The basic idea is: A figure 8 race over a reef with about 2 feet of clearance on a falling tide...................... The last boat afloat is - obviously - the winner. The remainder have to order new boats for next year's race. It helps the boat building industry. It gives the winner and the next to last, etc. bragging rights at the next Yacht Club bar Their teenage girlfriends in the string bikinis can squeal with joy as their grey hairy chested boyfriends with the heavy gold chains play "Racing Hero" With the race over, we sailors can enjoy peace and quiet till the next racing season, when we do it all over again. Think that we can convince the Cigarette boat owners that this is a manly competition and they are honor bound to participate??? ............after all it's only money...........! Any refinements to the basic idea are more than welcome. Let's make this a race that appears on the front cover of YACHTING.............. Connie
