RE: M_Boats: The Windline 4-step...
Hi Bob, No, the ladder on "Dinky Boat" is not the 4-step Windline. The ladder on Dinky Boat, is as you said, a fixed step ladder that folds up. It is a good ladder and drops down well into the water, but not as convenient as the newer folding step ladders. To see the pictures of the Windline, from the web page http://sailing.gravesfam.us select the link on the left side of the page to Maria Jorges M17. She has a couple of really good pictures showing the folding ladder. I wonder, will this ladder fit on a M15? I saw the pictures of Randy Graves 'Dinky Boat' and it looked like that ladder was not telescoped and stuck up above the gunnel (images 19, 25). Is that a Windline 4 step? What is a good ladder for a M15? Thanks, Bob

Hi Ken, I ordered the 4-step Windline ladder today from IM (Potter factory) at $160.00. At first thought it was a bit pricy. However the three step at West Marine is $140.00. Doesn't really matter as the money spent isn't real money... it's boat bucks and therefore doesn't count. My chief advisor, Maria Jorge assures me it fits and has pictures of the installation at << http://sailing.gravesfam.us/default.aspx >> that's Randy Graves site with lots of great photos.
