Sail rig drawings for 7-11
I've recently acquired a 1983 7-11 dinghy. Is it possible to get the drawings or dimensions for the sail rig, daggerboard and rudder? Are there other 7-11s in the Bay Area of Northern California? -- Bill Mania Public key at http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/
I know a guy in Sausalito who has a Wharram Tiki 21, and has a Montgomery dinghy, I assume it's what you're calling a 7-11 (just under 8 ft.). Unless you bought yours from him (name is Roger Sullivan)...? I don't know if he has any of the sail rig. We only used it to row from shore to the Tiki and back. But I could put you in touch. Where in the Bay area are you? cheers, John S. On 07/13/2016 06:24 AM, Bill Mania wrote:

You can get the boards from Frank Royce in Costa mesa, and the rig is simply a Sabot (or El Toro) rig. Shouldn't be hard to dig up the parts. -----Original Message----- From: John Schinnerer Sent: Wednesday, July 13, 2016 9:32 AM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: Sail rig drawings for 7-11 I know a guy in Sausalito who has a Wharram Tiki 21, and has a Montgomery dinghy, I assume it's what you're calling a 7-11 (just under 8 ft.). If you can use an El Toro rig, you're in heaven, Bill - the El Toro was born in Richmond, and there are probably more of them in the Bay area (especially in Richmond :-) than anywhere else. Here's the association site: http://www.eltoroyra.org/ There's a yahoo group and other contact info, should be easy to find spars and sail where you're located (I myself have an old plywood El Toro waiting for me to do some rehab on the hull and get her sailing again; I'm on the yahoo group and there are definitely helpful people there). cheers, John S.
