Our family was sailing our Ranger-20 at dusk in an 8 knot breeze on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. We saw a 17 foot inboard-outboard dead in the water with four adults peering out with rather helpless looks on their faces. There were no other boats on the lake (Montana!) and the sun was down. I whispered to my boys, "Get a line to throw them and pretend we do this all the time." We sailed by, passed them a line and towed them for about a mile into a bay with a dock. They seemed properly mystified by all of this. We were on a broad reach which let this sailing tow work. We sailed off into the dark trying not to laugh out loud. Charless Fowlkes Bozeman, MT
