Hello - New member here. My wife and I are selling our Catalina 350, and I am strongly considering the M-17 as a replacement to keep me (primarily) on the water, albeit in a somewhat different fashion. Anyone in the Seattle area willing to show off your boat to a prospective owner and his wife? She likes the looks of it, and we both would really like to see one up close. If it's what I think it is, and the Admiral can see herself on it, I am considering a new one. Early inquiries to the factory came back with a 40 day lead time. Any recommendations from you veterans on ordering from the factory? I sure like the pictures, stories, and videos (Youtube) I've been able to find so far. Regarding Montgomeries, I remember hearing positively gushing reports second hand a number of years ago when I knocked about in a West Wight Potter 19. Still haven't run across one yet in person. Thanks folks, Jon (and Deb) Freeman
Jon, There is a Mongomery owners yahoo group that has a database of Mongomery owners (85 listed) with a number of the boats in the Seattle area. The database has e-mail addresses for the owners. My Montgonery 17 has been in the family for over 25 years and I love the boat. Ron M17 #14 Griselda

Hi Jon and Deb, I just bought my new M-17 from Bob. Everything went smooth as silk. Bob is very easy to work with. I asked a ton of questions during the process and Bob was very responsive and cordial. He provided a lot of good advice on options. Go for it!
