Hi Doug, My old Evinrude, and I believe my 2 HP Suzuki as well, had a piece of brass wire about 3" long with a loop in the middle. This was attached to a short piece of brass chain, which in turn was attached to the bottom of the gas cap. A far more substantial safety device than the Honda solution. Thanks for the warning, I'll have to take a look and modify the Honda setup............. Connie
