M_Boats: 1st time this year

Well we took Pilgrim out for a sail today. Nice weather but very little wind. It completely died at about 1:00. Having discovered that our motor was not discharging any water the evening before, we left it home and went totally au nautrual. Of course this left me with a little more than a mile to paddle back to the dock after the wind died. My cruising speed under manual power is 1.4 kts. Not bad and we now know we can do it if we have too. All in all a great day. Lake Lowell is about two miles from our house and opens for boating next Thursday.
