I visited Vancouver BC Thursday. It was a very nice place, next time I will bring my sail boat. Dale and Sharon M17 Superior WI
Yes, Vancouver is very nice. It is a tad weird to get around because of all the bridges and the tunnel. I am pretty much a country boy and avoid cities when I can. Although I live about 5 hours (driving) away from Vancouver, I do sail the gulf island area but tend to fly or drive (ferry) to Sidney on Vancouver Island and go from there. Vancouver would be a grand spot for you to bring your own boat one day for sure. Depending on winds, it is a reasonably quick crossing to Nanimo (Vancouver Island). That's basically to north end of the southern gulf island group. Great Harbour and marinas. As this group can attest to...the gulf islands and American San Juans are super spots for cruising.
