Connie- If my mempory is correct, the only time we ever used aluminum rivets on either the 15 or 17 is on the 3" aluminum cleats. All others were monel or stainless, depending on the time frame. Hi Rick,

The rivets holding the hardware on the mast are aluminum pop rivets.

When I rebuilt my mast I drilled all the rivets out so that I could remove the old hardware and reapply it to the new mast.
