I tend to agree with what Dave posted...what calls you, or what's the boat telling you? It may take listening for a while. I am currently 'listening' for a name for the El Toro dinghy I'm refurbishing (it never had one, so I don't need the de-naming ceremony). People make suggestions but most of them are a clear 'no'. In that vein, there's a saying - "If it's not a clear yes, it's a no" - in case that's helpful. The Ensenada 20 I had for a short time came without a name. I was thinking of naming her "Sloop John Be" but then found my Monty. The folks I sold her to named her "Stella Blue" after having her a little while (she has light blue hull) and it seemed to fit.
