Hi Frank, An M15 is a great "little ship". It's seaworthy - one was sailed from California to Hawaii - it's fun to sail; and it's built properly - with good storage, which every boat needs. I got to my M15 by way of a 29' Tripp-Lentsch, that we owned for 26 years, and I had worked myself up to a Northeast 38. When we down sized I went trailerable for the same reasons you mentioned, and our first trailerable was a Bolger MICRO - a real fun vessel. When stepping a 23 foot free standing mast became too much, I bought a ComPac 16, but quickly sold it again. No storage space; and poor sailing characteristics; which led me to the M15. I've been a happy M15 owner ever since, and only decided to sell it because I find my mind says I'm 30 but my body is beginning to give me a horse laugh ... You'll have a great time with your M15, and you can go exploring anywhere. Mine did 70 MPH to windward on every Interstate, which means your sailing areas suddenly expand exponentially. A few hours down the road and you are at...... Connie
