The leaves from the oak trees are fluttering straight down to earth. Nothing is moving outside. There was a bit of rain overnight, but that has stopped. The barometer has dropped from 1018 mb last night to 1005 mb this morning. With schools closed, and probably many businesses closed as well, it is very quiet outside; no vehicular traffic. Not one car has passed in the last 10 minutes. We've got the storm jib and trys'l ready, and have unlimbered our storm anchor and our longest rode, - just in case... Connie & Katrina
Hi all, I want to wish everyone the best as Sandy comes in. This is one more time I am glad that I got a trailer thrown in with my M-23 purchase! We got the trailer out of the shop Saturday morning (new brakes, tires, lights, coupler and plumbing), put on new wood guides and slapped on the old bunks then hauled down to the marina and pulled her last night. Nice to have her on kinda high ground. And to have that much ballast keeping her in place! All the best and stay safe neighbors!
Cheers, Robbin
