i had my 15 and 17 parked transom to transom for a short time. the size difference is very clear. you really realize how much LARGER the 17 is than the 15 when looking for an 'indoor home' for the boat. the 'average' garage will fit the 15 ... not so for the 17. dave scobie M17 #375 - SWEET PEA visit SWEET PEA's www-site - http://www.m17.375.webs.com --- On Tue, 7/20/10, joeblow0@lycos.com <joeblow0@lycos.com> wrote: With the mast, trailer tongue, and motor removed my M17 (built 2001) will just barely fit inside a Costco 20X10 carport. The motor mount stretches the rear panel of the enclosure out about 4-6. I can fit the boat into my shop (which is about 25 1/2 feet long inside) with plenty of space for a small work bench behind the transom. I have to remove both mast crutches and rest the mast on the pulpit and cabin top to get it through the roll-up door (Ht ~ 8 1/2 ft.). I then hang the mast from the roof rafters.
