RE: M_Boats: re: M-15 Ballast

Gentlemen and/or sailors: RE: M-15 ballast: When I bought Kestrel (#175) she had been sailed in Pacific Ocean. The former owner had a 100# lead ingot laying below deck on top of the CB cavity. It was midships as far as balance. Since you all are talking about increasing ballast to 300+, do you think this ingot would help or hinder the sailing characteristics of an M-15 sailed on fresh water lakes? Thanks. Tom
