Lawrence We've installed 200 of these. Just order off the website. https://windline.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_69&product_id=5... There are other options but this is what we use.....we usually install it before decking The boat but you can install an access plate to install backup plates and hardware. The price was annoying, but the real problem is it wasn't even a transom mount ladder and I was asking for their 4 step transom mount ladder that they advertised, but instead he sent me a generic platform mount (the kind that is meant to be installed with horizontal gudgeons on top of a platform and swing the ladder from laying on top, to swinging down and stopped at a slight angle from vertical) ...and a couple of splintery small chunks of plywood about 2"x4" x 3/8". I don't know if they were meant to be backing plates or something to put the ladder off the stern so your hand wouldn't get pinched but as it has no stops, it's just swinging there.. It's a 3 step ladder also, where I definitely asked for a 4 step. I kept asking for pictures and dimensions....and he kept being weirdly evasive and or ignoring me for 2 weeks. I kept asking for a phone call, but instead he sent a few cryptic and changing emails, avoiding any sort of real information or communication. Finally after 2 weeks he sent me a tracking number and a bill....i.e. he shipped it, before he answered my simple questions)...I naively and in good faith paid. And it wasn't even close to the ladder on his website. Annoying and what a time waste.. ________________________________ From: Bob Eeg <montgomeryboats@hotmail.com<mailto:montgomeryboats@hotmail.com>> To: Lawrence Winiarski <lawrence_winiarski@yahoo.com<mailto:lawrence_winiarski@yahoo.com>>; For and about Montgomery Sailboats <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com<mailto:montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com>> Sent: Saturday, August 27, 2016 7:00 PM Subject: Re: M_Boats: Transom Ladder, Bob Becker and Daniel Rich. I've been working on my M15 and I wanted to put in a transom ladder. I did a little research andthought I'd use the ladder that's for the potter 15 sold by International Marine. Boy was that a mistake.Apparently IM is out of business and they've lost all integrity. Anyway they sent me a standard 3 step fold over platform ladder while doing everything possible to mislead me into thinking it was their custom transomladder (which was nice) at custom prices. He was being evasive enough, I didn't want to buyit without a picture, but he shipped it anyway and billed me after it was already in the mail. I naively trustedhim and paid for it without a picture and now I see it was a confidence game to con me into paying for something I obviously didn't want and could have easily purchased on my own without the 300% markup....Good grief.
Anyway, while I dispute the charges, I find myself back into the ladder market. I saw on thehttps://msogphotosite.com/Scripts/StoryTechnical/storytechnicaldetail.php?id... (Or you can see it by looking at "M15 Mount and Ladder Installation" at the msogphotosite)
A nice ladder writeup by a "Robert Becker". Apparently he may have sold his boat to Daniel Rich. in his writeup, he gives a part number for a "westline" ladder R-1185.....anyway, I don't know ofa westline, but was it "windline"?
Does Mr Rich or Mr Becker know what type of ladder he has/had and where to get it and coulddouble check the make and model for me? Having a lot of fun with the M15. I put in a nice lithium lifepo4 100ah battery up front (only 30 lbs)and depthfinder. Yet to do are the ah meter, solar panel and lights.
Incidentally saw a nice light setup here from Marinebeam. Basically it's an LED that can eitherbe a white anchor light, or a 3 color masthead light. So you only need 1 fixture instead of 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R92WLV88cQ
