I received a Delivery Status Notification for the message I sent just after noon today. The Delivery Status Notification arrived a few minutes after my message showed up on the forum. The message comes from system-user@mms.mycricket.com . I had the same thing happen on June 4. I've never seen this kind of thing before. A Google search revealed that mms.mycrickiet.com may not even be a legitimate URL. Ditto on the "techy stuff". I also get the xmissions trouble notification stuff. Very perturbing since this in one of my favorite sites to kibitz on. I have been getting "Delivery Status Notification" indicating that what I send to montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com is not working, but I also get replies from M-boat folks like you, so I guess it really is working. I do not understand the techy stuff involved. I think if I get replies the techy stuff is doing something. Frankly I do not trust a lot of techy stuff, which is among the reasons I like my M-15, not much techy stuff to do with it or to go wrong. Steve M-15 # 335

Daniel, As long as you are considering new sails, look into having the main made as a loose footed one. The tack and clew will have to be reinforced more than the usual and you will need to install a bit better mechanical advantage on the outhaul fittings as you will be using it to trim the draft on the main but the boost in performance is said to be considerable. I am looking at new sails for the M17 I have and am seriously considering going the loose footed route. Please reply to this email as I have concerns that my missives to this website are not getting through to anybody. Thanks, Tom B, M17, 1978

Yup. You need new sails. And sails for the M15 are quite reasonably
priced. I got mine from JudyB at Hyde. She did a fantastic job. Measurements are key, as all these older M boats can have some slight differences. New sails change the boat so much you won’t believe it.
Which reminds me, Judy, I owe you some money and some sails!

Hi I know this question has been asked before But can't recall the advise that was given. So here it is: I have a 1985 M15 for about 3 years and I just started noticing that the main hangs down about 4 inches at the back. Is this normal or are my 29 year old sails done for and I need new sails? Also where can I find out the sail dimensions for my 1985 M15 is there a web page somewhere ?? Thanks Klaas
