Thanks for the kind words Connie. The favored method for old guys is the metal detector and that been very good to me. I also have a stream sluice, highbanker and a bunch of other stuff. But the latter is real hard work. I posted a nice photo on the Trailer Sailor Montgomery forums. A bunch of nuggets laying on the detector search coil. Pretty stuff if you are into gold. One never knows; the next hole in the ground could have twice that much in it! But I guess that's why it's fun to look. That, and it's $800.00 an ounce at the moment. Hi Bill,
Thanks for all your excellent work on the Monty-website.
It is always a pleasure to go there and to look at all the pictures and comments that you so carefully assembled.
Happy and successful gold digging........
How are you going to do it? Panning in streams? Build a sluice? Surface excavating? Use a drag line? Mining? ....or does one catch salmon that have ingested gold nuggets?

Dear Montgomery Owners and Enthusiasts,
It is official… The Montgomery Sailboat Owners Group Photo Site www.MSOGPhotoSite.com <http://www.msogphotosite.com/> has a new owner. I am not at liberty to give details at the moment; however I can assure everyone, the Photo Site will stay on the Internet and may include periodic updates as well as keep most of the content already published.
You Monty people are so spoiled ;-}
During the next few months I will transform the Maintenance and Modifications albums into PDF, making them easier to view, print and download.
As for me, I'm going to go digging in the dirt for that butter yellow Gold. I have the fever bad. In part due to finding over 3 ounces in one patch near the Scott River in Northern California in 25-30 actual hours of work (took me three weeks to do that 30 hours). I know this is not the place, but if you want to see how it's done visit one of the clubs I belong to: www.goldgold.com the Nor Cal area is some of the most remote and pretty areas in CA.
Fair Winds and Following Seas; the MSOG and Montgomery Boat (all of them) will always be in my heart and thoughts. Thanks for all the past support… see you all later; I'm going to go play in the dirt.
