Bi-annual is a confusing term too, because it actually has two meanings. bi⋅an⋅nu⋅al /baɪˈænyuəl/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [bahy-an-yoo-uhl] –adjective 1. occurring twice a year; semiannual. 2. occurring every two years; biennial.
