I tow an old Zodiac Kadet hard transom inflatable with my NS26 and have rigged a bridle that places the load on the transom with the painter slack and just providing steering sense. This arrangement allows the bow to rise freely several feet but still be constrained from a "back flip" and takes the towing pull, measured as 12lbs at 5 kts, off the D rings and patches. Those on last years San Juan trip will probably remember it. Dick
