Hello Don and Doug, On our 1974 M-17 there are cheek blocks P & S at the end of the boom with cleats inboard for the first and second reefing lines, easily accessible, when hove-to. I like the multiple purchase outhaul! Pulling on a single purchase is tough to adjust. Oh Boy, a place to spend money! " Really, Honey, if I fell overboard and you needed to adjust the outhaul before coming about, the multiple purchase will allow you to do that, no problem." We need to add a third small cleat to the mast so that the cunningham and first and second reef lines forward can all be rigged and ready for use. When I know that "hula pie" is properly setup for the conditions I have great confidence in this boat. Ron Goodspeed
