Isn't that one of those fake Montgomery's that were made in China and sold at Walmart for a few years during the early eighties? Yep, I was joking. Seriously, looks like it's in nice shape for $4400. If that's what a cherry M-15 with a new honda is going for these days, I think my own boat has just been devalued. --Bob Olson M-15 219 On Aug 9, 2006, at 4:37 PM, W David Scobie wrote:

my name is dave scobie and i'm looking at joining your club by purchasing an M15. i've located a boat in the seattle area - hull #288.
i've been looking into the history of this boat, as she has been around for 22 years, and see that there are two hulls out there with the same number. so someone has a 'fake' montgomery ... or there is a record keeping issue.
the boat is described and pictured at the following www address:

you will notice there is a picture of "Pato's" HIN number (scroll the the bottom of the www page listed above): MMP2880684. besides this number not having the correct number of digits, she is the same hull number as Rich Cottrell's M15 "Really".
thoughts on this situation are appreciated.
happy sailing.
