Ron, I recently purchased a new Suzuki 6 h.p 4 stroke. http://www.suzukimarine.com/sr03/df64/index.html It has an internal tank as well as the connector for the external tank. They offer this motor in a 4 or 6 h.p. configuration ( same weight ) You can also add a 5 amp charger as an option for cruising. This was the only 5 h.p, + I could find that offered an internal tank for the days you don't want to take a cruising tank. Regards, Randy W. Ranger 20 ( former M15 owner )
rcgoodspeed@mac.com 05/04/03 11:29AM >>> Hello Craig, Have you had a chance to try out your new motor yet? We have been using an electric trolling motor to get off and onto the dock at our local lake where the winds are rarely over 12 knots but it didn't have enough power to handle the winds in the CA Delta and we want to sail the S.F. Bay this year so are looking into the 4-5 HP outboards for our M17. Cat and I will be sailing with enough gear to stay aboard for 3-4 days. Please keep us posted on how the new motor works for you. Does it have the option of connecting an external tank?
Thanks, Ron and Cathryn Goodspeed 1974 M17 "hula pie" _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
