Connie: I like the one quart oil container idea. Is this one of the rectangular plastic containers that you typically buy motor oil in? I would have thought that when the gas warms up, the container would ballon up but I'll try it. Perfect for motoring back in on a day trip. You are right, several will fit in the sail locker and would hold just the right amount for a single filling. It's difficult to see the level in the black honda gas tank interior as you're pouring gas in (leaning over the side as the boat bounces in the chop). On a longer trip, the 3 galon Tempo with a squeeze bulb would work. I think Doug metioned using something like that on the Key West trip. One a side note: How about a report on the Annapolis Rendevous guys, And pictures. I've gotten into the habit of taking my cap apart mid-season and cleaning the airway of spider webs and dust and gunk. I would say you're 71 years young by the sound of it. Sail on! Hi folks. We're Dale and Gloria Lilly. We own M17 #038 [1974] which has been redone a bit including new mast and boom. She's got the galley and we've added to that making her only capable of sleeping two. She's red with an off-white superstructure [I guess you can call it that on a 17' boat]. Dale is pastor of the San Carlos Community Church in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. We're on the Sea of Cortez and are here about 8 months each year. We have another sailboat iln the US [Idaho]. We're old [72 shortly] and have been sailing for about 43 years. We owned a M17 in the 1990's but let her go. We're glad to have her back. At our age ... and enjoying trailering all over the US, she's all the boat we need and can comfortably handle. Craig asked if we had digital pics. No ... maybe later. If you get down to San Carlos, give us a call at 226-1553. H. Dale Lilly and Gloria L.
