Hi Martha, Think of it this way, at least you didn't snag a power line and electrocute someone. I saw a sailor years ago snag a cable with his mast, snap the mast, which then came crashing down on his tow van. But, getting back to the subject, I was able to straighten a slightly bent boom by prying it over a padded sawhorse with the other end hooked under a truck bumper! It worked....
