Hi Gail I have had my M-23 in salt water (Chesapeake Bay) for about a decade now. You do not need to worry about the aluminum that i have seen. Just do what you would for fresh water and maybe check your anodes more often but still like every year. I just bottom paint every year. Simple! Have fun and go sailing. Salt water is not a big deal. We have thought about putting our M-17 2005 into Salt Water at Bodega Bay. What do we need to do to protect it from Salt Water. Take it out, how often (?) to pressure wash the bottom.
What about the mast. It is unpainted aluminum? Do we need to get it painted?
What else?
