Sandra, With our 1988 M15 we had a 2-cycle 4hp Yamaha outboard and noticed the listing you are referring to. The 15 being a lighter boat it is sensitive to added weight of any sort. Our M15 with 2 adults sat low in the stern, because of this we would try and move as much weight as possible, and as far forward as possible (we do the same with our M17). My suggestion would be to fill some milk jugs with water and experiment placing them for forward under the v-berth and see if the boat will balance. Unless your boat is already heavy-toward the bow I would look first at placing the weight forward and low. Hello I am the owner of 2006 M15. I have a 43 lb Yamaha 4 stroke mounted on port stern. The boat lists from the outboards weight. I would like to add ballast to trim the boat. Its a very tight space under the starboard bench. The boat was built with extra ballast glassed into the bow. What have others used or what might you recommend I use to correct this situation.
