M_Boats: Tiller control

Folks, I received great comments from several of you on various ways to immobilize the tiller, and even got some photographs, but I lost several years of emails and cannot remember who said what, so I thank you all. Meanwhile, I ran across the following idea on the web: http://www.blumhorst.com/potterpages/Photopoint/0005/cajun-tiller- tamer.htm I rigged the thing with 12' of 5/16 line between the rear cleats, and tried it out, and it seems to work great. I recommend trying it yourselves if you want to avoid holes in the tiller and more hardware on the boat. Tom Jenkins M17 Scintilla
