Paul, The previous owner is the person who modified the mount to allow for tilt and to deal with vibration he encountered with the engine. I believe he had a Honda, and when he replaced it with the Suzuki, he modified the mount. I will send photos and measurements later today. Want to be clear, this was Forrest Meadows’ idea and execution. (previous owner). It works well. Welding is planned at edges of plate (upper and lower edges). Your idea for an extension may work dependent upon clearance for the engine. I will get photos/dimensions posted later today.
