Had a nice little sail on Saturday with mostly pretty light winds until all of a sudden it picked up real nice to over 19 kts, gusting to over 23 kts. At the time, I was on a broad reach. I turned on the gps and woo-hoo! Fastest non-surfing speeds I've ever recorded! I sustained over 6 1/2 kts for quite a while and nearly hit 7 kts in small chop! Flying full main and working jib. Also encountered a Potter 19 (HMS 18) and I'm glad to report that Busca did me proud. I saw a Mac 26X, but we were sailing a parallel course for only a short distance. It sure looked like we were keeping up with it too! I'm gonna have to keep my eye out for one to try to sail with just to see how badly we fare. Tod M17 #408 BuscaBrisas
