Hi Randy, This is not quite the answer you are looking for... but: I bought a Sevylor IK quite some time ago for solo playing in rivers. My river of choice back then was the Rogue River of Oregon which sports mostly rounded rocks that are moss covered making them very slippery. There is a company which specializes in fun runs on the same river called Orange Torpedo Boat Trip Co. The Sevylor is the perfect boat and very economical too. I got into trouble when I changed rivers and tried the same boat in a California stream named Cache Creek. This river is loaded with sharp edged shale. In the first run I got maybe 1/2 mile before tearing a huge hole in a tube. Fortunately being in Cache Creek meant a warm water dunking and only a short walk to the highway. I replaced the boat with an AIRE 2K - 2 person inflatabe Kayak. It's fairly heavy (60? pounds) and costs roughly $1200.00. It's very tough and has an inner bladder for the air. Liked it so much I bought one of their inflateable catarafts as well. The rest of the story. If you do like the idea of the Sevylor. The IK's dont track well. So it's best to use an double bladed Kayak paddle rather than a canoe paddle. The Sevylor is cheap enough to buy one and experiment with it. Be prepared for the wet fannie routine as the sides are low and it's almost not possible to keep water out of the interior especially when getting into the boat. I believe the boat has scuppers for self bailing which allow water to enter as well. (dont quote me on that one - it's been a while ago) I for one am interested in your findings. Happy searching Bill
