M boaters We were out this past Saturday and the winds were 15-18 kts, put a reef in at about 18 kts and we used the tried and true "heave to" concept. Bellerin sat there like a well trained puppy while we reduced sail area really in a matter of a couple minutes. The winds held for the rest of the sail but had they increased my next step would have been to hank on a smaller jib. Is anyone familiar with any technique that makes changing the headsail easier or do I just have to go forward pull her down and put up the smaller one? Trying to make it easier on the back. Not really interested in getting roller furling just thought I would query the group and see if anyone had a better way. Thanks Gary Valetti Bellerin M17 ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
