Larry, When preparing for a trip, and I have not had the boat rigged in a long time, I rig it before I leave home, and when I take it down readying for trailering, I keep everything I disassemble in or on the boat, so I won't forget anything. I also use a check-list When I installed the Idasailor rudder, I found that the lower pintle is the same diameter as the other two, which is not the way my boat came from the factory. The bottom of the rudder pin is cut down to about 3/8ths of an inch. This keeps it from sliding through, and on to the bottom of the lake, which I've managed to do before. All it required was to drill the bottom hole out to a half inch, which I easily did. The point is, to tell Idasailor the size of the holes the pintles have to fit into to save having to do this rework. Clarence Andrews M-17 #604 Carpe Ventum
