Hi, all. Checking in from Mt. Shasta. Have "Sirius" currently under construction, which will replace our Kent Ranger 20 we had for 20+ years. We downsized as getting the Ranger mast up, rigged and ready to go was becoming a bit more difficult as time went on--which ended up limiting our getting out on the water. Used it mostly in So.Oregon at Howard Prairie Lake, especially as Mike worked there summers for a good number of years. His sailing experience started in 1953 in SF Bay in a variety of boats. We built two SF Bay Pelicans in our garage, and sailed them before we got the Ranger. Also built a number of dories, a drift boat, rowing boat, etc. My main sailing experience was with the Pelicans and the Ranger. Now we're both seriously retired, we're expecting the M15 will get us into a lot of lakes we passed up with the Ranger, especially going back to northern Idaho/Western Montana lakes we've never tried. So, getting everything ready to go - got the Honda 2hp long shaft, the Porta-Potty, etc. Been reading all the archives topics, but sure there will be some questions coming up - you can bet we'll be sure to ask!
