Like Dave I put a couple coats of epoxy on my rudder then antifouling paint on the portion that's submerged. The upper portion has Cetol on it. Mark Dvorscak On Wed, Jun 20, 2018, 21:10 Andrew Nelson <aelnelson@gmail.com> wrote:
What is the best way to protect the original mahogany rudder from the salt water?
Last year I kept my M17 in the salt water. Every time I finished sailing I would pull the rudder of the boat. Rinse it off with freshwater on the dock. Dry it. Then store it in the cabin of my boat.
