Here is another idea on pumping gas to a small outboard. Use a fuel hose with a good bulb and cut off both end connections. Match the flow direction on the bulb and put suction into gas container and other end in tank opening. Squeeze a few times and you are done. I saw this in a sailing magazine and it works. Sometime ago someone suggested using 1 quart oil containers as spare gas containers.
The idea is:
Small size - easy to store
Light weight, while holding it during refueling. 1/4th the weight of a gallon container!
Easy to pour into the Honda gas cap opening - a one handed operation.
............and whoever wrote in was saying it works nicely in rough weather too...........
I have been using the one quart bottles for spare fuel for the Honda, and it works nicely, though I can't comment on rough conditions use.
