Just a question.. This weekend I was looking at a parked Catalina 22 on a trailer and I saw its rudder and I thought mmmmm I wonder if this would fit my M-17 w the broken rudder. The pintles were not adjustable but I probably could adjust the gudgeons on the boat, it was a nice kick up design and it looked like it would work w/o major mods. Anybody gone down this road?

Some changes: We're going to all rope halyards with a larger shackle
for the main and jib. The M_17 Strawanza, now 'out there somewhere'
was all rope and I liked the way we could run lines aft for singlehanding.
Also, on the new M_15s were going with a turnbuckle on the forestay.
This makes it easier to set the side shrouds only once, and tension
the headstay nice and tight. We have done this on several of the 15s
and now think the extra cost is worth it.
