Sad to see a new tiller get age spots. Here was my simple fix: just took measurements of length and diameter of Rejoyce!'s tiller that needed covering, then hand sewed a long tube of scrap canvas into a cover. A flap at the aft end secured with Velcro kept it in place. Quick and easy to make, install, and remove for sailing, and no more sun spots. Did the same for the rudder, too, so when it was retracted, it wouldn't get any sun burn. John R. Butler theoldcat@cox.net My e-mail address just refers to my last sailboat, "The Old Cat."
