Keep in mind that the 15 balances better when the driver is situated as far forward in the cockpit as possible. Re-arranging the main sail sheeting will probably force the sailor to reside farther aft. I also image such an arrangement makes sail handling and steering a royal pain. t

I find that the mid sheet arrangement of the main is a real problem with more than one person in the boat. The crew is always in the way of the sheet.
