Thanks Skipper Are you running any kind of a special prop. It would seem like the pitch of the prop should somewhat match the hull speed of the M-15 and the power curve of the motor. Captain Jim Skipper sailing vessel Pelican M-15 On 8/28/07, wcampion@aol.com <wcampion@aol.com> wrote:
Jim,
I have a 3.5hp 2 cycle Tohatsu long shaft.? I like it for several reasons, but the biggest advantage is I am able to run the motor at 3/4 speed which maximizes the gas usage and is able to reach optimal hull speed.? A 2hp is good but if you?run into a head wind or strong currenanksts you may need to run your 2hp at full throttle which isn't always good for long periods of time.? (IMHO).
