A few quick things.
1) I appreciate those who have expressed an eagerness to give me
money. Actually, the begging will begin in March, and I'll send out an
e-mail at that time.
Meanwhile, invest your $5.00 in something solid, maybe Enron and
K-mart, like I did 3 months ago. As a result of my investment acumen, I'd
like to request a little more for the web site this year, about $900
each. ;)
2) To earn my money, I have created a new database called the MSOG
Book List. Please add your favorite books, the ones that have been
discussed on the listserver, so we can start our own little reading list
about sailing and the sea. I think it's a good idea to confine the list
to those general topics. You can find the link under "Other
Resources" on the MSOG site.
The book entry screen is simple and should be self-explanatory, and
I've already added Hiscock's "Cruising Under Sail" to get us
started. I'll refine the program as more get added.
There's still a lot of winter left for reading.
3)I have marked a lot of e-mails from the past several months to
follow up on. Now that things are lightening up at work, I hope to get to
those very soon and add a whole bunch of new stuff.
4) I think I've made all of the database corrections, additions and
deletions that some of you have sent to me. Please e-mail me again if I
missed making your change.
5) Someone on the listserver was asking after the article about the
M-15 trip to Hawaii, that story is on the MSOG web site under "See
the M-boats", then "M-15".
More later,
Doug
