Hey Greg I think what I just sent you is fairly accurate but I should have started with preparation. I'm assuming your chute is in a bag. First pull it out because if its not stuffed correctly it can ruin your day. With the bag between your legs start with the center of the foot stuffing it into the bagbut DO NOt stuff the clews. You maw have a red and green clew, if so keep them on the proper sides. continue stuffing without twisting it. When everything is in the bag except the 3 corners you are ready to tie the bag to the pulpit keeping the red and green corners on the proper side. The bag should be forward of the forestay and make sure the halyard isn't twisted around anything. now you can attach the halyard and sheets if you can tie the bag shut so the chute doesn't come out before you are ready. You may also have a red and green sheet which helps keep everything organized. Now you are sailing downwind with the jib rolled up or pulled down, attach the pole to the mast and the windward sheet making sure both s sheets are above the jib sheets. Now you are ready to proceed with my first e-mail unless we get lots of flack from the peanut gallary.
