I made a wedge, pics attached. Just wood flour thickened epoxy resin, poured in some round plastic tub or lid or similar tilted a few degrees off level. My main reason was so the $#%@#%! winch handle would clear the CB trunk - it's not a ratcheting winch (not on mine anyhow - #38, 1974), can only go around in one direction. Has anyone come up with a good way to realign the centerboard winch on the older model M17's? I'm tired of fighting the pennant's tendency to overlap due to the incorrect mounting angle. It needs tilted up about 1/4" when measured at the lower edge of the winch. A shim of some sort would be the ticket, but I can't add too much thickness to the mount to keep the pennant straight below the winch.
