Louis, I installed a CDI FF2 on our M17 this past summer. The furling drum unit is designed around a turnbuckle, the turnbuckle integrates into the FF2 systems. From my recollection of how everything fits together, I can't see how anything but a turnbuckle could be used at the deck end of the forestay. The FF2 I installed I purchased used. I was able to download a .pdf file from the CDI web site which had several very good line drawings of how the furling drum and turnbuckle integrate. If the CDI site no longer has the .pdf , please email me directly as I think I saved a copy and could forward it to you. I read the instructions and it says to use a turnbuckle inside of the furling unit. Has anyone installed one and can you use the stay adjuster that is standard on the M-15 forestay. _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
