A lot of us use a CDI FF2 on the M17. I have one on my boat and it works really well. Note my jib is a 110 not a 150. My jib if reefed moderately works fine. The pointing ability of the boat falls off noticeably as the reef gets deeper. Keith *Keith R. Hi.
I am thinking about installing a jib furl on my Montgomery 17. I had a local rigger look at the boat this morning and he says the boat is too heavy for the "Harken Small Boat" and he is unsure which furl is best suited for this boat. He is going to do some research but I thought I would put it out to you all as well. The head sail is a genoa 150% Also, is it reasonable to expect the furl to be able to reef?
Thanks,
