Rick, Practical Sailor has a really nice write up comparing Acrylic finishes with lots of information about Acrylics application and when and where they are best used. The article is in their September 2009 edition. They rated Poliglow highest among the competitors. In general, this looks like a good approach for really old boats like my 1978 M-23. The Acrylics fill the deeper pores on severely oxidized hulls which probably applies to mine even though it does not look too bad because it is cream/off white. I noticed the brown sheer stripe reverted to looking pretty faded not long after buffing out, polishing and waxing so at the very least it may be good to try on the colored parts of my hull. Has anyone tried Poly-Glo on a Monty? How did it work? Is it difficult to apply to lapstrake? I've been thinking of trying it, but would like to get some advice before I start.
Thanks
