Kind of but more like cutting around the keel and pushing it up inside the hull so the hull becomes pretty flat suitable for beaching. Then inside you could surround the keel with heavy storage and then have your cabin floor on top of the keel. Then add the keel height...6 or 8" to the hull sides. Does that increase displacement? It would be the same "footprint" as the existing 15. Being able to haul out on a beach would be a big plus.
The other big change I'd heartily endorse would be usable sitting/reading room inside. Thanks for listening! Steve
"I guess you mean to add volume in the hull by bringing it down on the centerline to the level of the fixed part of the keel? That would work but I can't see an advantage unless you wanted to raise the displacement of the hull (and ballast).
