Hi Rick, I installed the bow chocks on my boat. What I did was cut down the teak toe rail to about 3/8" thickness. Then I added a teak piece on the inside of the toes rail, wide enough to provide a good base for the chocks. Then I through bolted the chocks with backing plates on the inside. They were needed because I had to lead mooring lines to dock cleats at the marina; and for anchoring. Connie
