Gary, There may not be trailer-specific tires available for 12" rims, but there are several 12" car radials available. I switched over to 12" Goodyear Tiempo car radials about 7 years and many thousands of miles ago on my otherwise stock TrailRite trailer.
The ride/cushioning effect of the radials was a dramatic improvement. While it is true that radials designed for trailer use tend to have reinforced sidewalls, the M15 is light enough that this should not be a concern.
Others on the list have made the switch as well, and to my knowledge, none have regretted it.
